Privacy
Sleepytime helps parents and guardians turn real family moments into personalized bedtime stories. That means the service can involve sensitive child and family context, so access is limited while we continue improving the product and privacy practices.
Who the service is for
Sleepytime is for parents and legal guardians. Children may not create accounts or use Sleepytime directly without a parent or guardian supervising the experience.
Information we process
- Account details such as name, email, login provider, and linked accounts.
- Waitlist, invite, support, feedback, and user-research messages.
- Story-session content, including transcripts, selected story words, prompts, and draft story direction.
- Child and family context that a parent or guardian chooses to provide, such as names, ages, interests, relationships, pets, toys, and recurring memories.
- Generated storybooks, illustrations, narration data, saved library items, and feedback about those books.
- Technical and analytics data such as device/browser information, page activity, product events, referral/source data, and error information.
Voice and story sessions
Sleepytime story sessions use text and, when you choose to turn on the microphone, audio to help a parent or guardian recap the day. Audio may be processed by speech or realtime AI providers so Sleepytime can create transcripts, story ingredients, memories, and story drafts. The app stores transcript and story context so future stories can stay consistent.
Sleepytime does not ask you to upload images. Only provide text or microphone audio about a child when you are the parent or guardian, or when you have permission from the parent or guardian.
How we use information
- To provide authentication, waitlist access, and account management.
- To generate personalized storybooks, illustrations, narration, and saved family context.
- To improve product quality, debug failures, understand beta usage, and evaluate user feedback.
- To communicate about access, support, research sessions, security, and product updates.
- To prevent abuse, protect the service, and honor deletion or support requests.
Service providers
Sleepytime uses third-party providers for hosting, database storage, file storage, authentication, email delivery, analytics, speech transcription, realtime AI, language models, generated illustration creation, narration, memory, and workflow processing. These providers process data only as needed to operate the beta.
Analytics and session replay
Sleepytime may use product analytics to understand product usage, reliability, and which beta features are useful. When session replay is enabled, we use masking controls and do not use replay recordings as a source for story generation.
Your choices
- You can request access changes, privacy help, or support through the contact page.
- Signed-in users can delete their account from the account page.
- Account deletion is designed to remove storybooks, memories, story sessions, and authentication records. We also request deletion from connected service providers when their systems support it.
- You can choose not to provide optional child or family details, but the story quality may be less personalized.
